Educational Qualifications:

  • For Engineering Graduates:
    • Must possess a B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc. (Engineering) degree in relevant disciplines (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, etc.) with at least 60% aggregate marks or a 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale.
    • Valid GATE-2023, 2024, or 2025 scores are required for candidates applying through the GATE screening channel.
  • For Science Postgraduates:
    • Must have an M.Sc. degree in disciplines such as Physics, Chemistry, Biosciences, or Geology, with at least 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA.
    • GATE scores are required if applying through this channel.

Age Limit (as of August 1, 2025):

  • General: 26 years
  • OBC: 29 years
  • SC/ST: 31 years
  • Additional relaxations for eligible categories, including up to 10 years for physically challenged candidates.

Selection Process:

  1. Screening:
    • Online Examination: Conducted in March 2025, consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions to assess domain-specific knowledge.
    • GATE Scores: Candidates with valid GATE-2023, 2024, or 2025 scores are eligible for direct screening.
    • CGPA for CEBS/NISER Graduates: Candidates with a CGPA of 7.5 or higher are eligible for direct screening to the interview stage.
  2. Selection Interviews:
    • Shortlisted candidates will attend interviews in Mumbai (all disciplines except Geology) and Hyderabad (for Geology).

  • Post-Training Placements: DAE units across India, including:

Salary and Benefits

During Training:

  • Stipend: ₹74,000/month
  • One-Time Book Allowance: ₹30,000

Post-Training Compensation:

  • Pay Scale: ₹56,100 per month under Level 10 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
  • Monthly Gross Salary: Approximately ₹1,34,000, inclusive of allowances like Dearness Allowance (DA) and House Rent Allowance (HRA).
  • Additional Benefits:
    • Leave Travel Concession (LTC): Air travel for eight years and biennially thereafter.
