Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is inviting applications for the position of Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ in the Civil, Electrical, Refrigeration & A/C, and Architecture disciplines. The recruitment drive aims at hiring talented, innovative, and passionate individuals to support the Research and Development activities in space science and technology. The position is a Group ‘A’ Gazetted Post in level 10 of the Pay Matrix.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The age limit for candidates is 28 years as on 24.05.2023.
  • Serving Central Government employees, Ex-Servicemen, and Persons with Disabilities are eligible for age relaxation.
  • Candidates suffering from not less than 40% of relevant disability would be eligible for reservation in services/posts.
  • Candidates can apply for multiple positions but must opt for the same ISRO Centre/Unit for selection.

Key Responsibilities: Selected candidates will be responsible for participating in the Research and Development activities in space science and technology for the benefit of society and serving the nation. They will be required to develop and implement innovative solutions, perform experiments, analyze data, develop software, and contribute to various projects.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on their performance in a written test and interview. Candidates will be short-listed for the interview in the ratio of 1:5, based on their performance in the written test. For reserved vacancies, distinct/additional candidates will be short-listed in the ratio of 1:5 (maximum), without regard to the reserved candidates if any, short-listed under UR category. The final panel will be created based on the weightage given to Written Test marks (50%) and Interview marks (50%).

Application Process: Candidates can apply online from 04.05.2023 to 24.05.2023. They are advised to check all the details entered by them online before submitting their applications. Candidates should avoid submitting multiple applications for the same post. No documents are required to be uploaded along with the application, except a photograph and signature in JPG format. However, candidates should be ready to submit original documents in support of qualification, age, category, NOC from employer, etc. as and when called for.

Other Conditions/Instructions:

  • Candidates must submit NOC at the time of the Interview. Candidates who fail to submit NOC in original at the time of Interview shall not be permitted to appear in the Interview, and TA will not be paid.
  • Government strives to have a workforce that reflects gender balance, and women candidates are encouraged to apply.
