Recruitment for Posts of Constable and Lady Constable in West Bengal Police
Total Vacancies:
Male constable : 7440 Posts
Lady Constable: 1192 Posts
Pay Scale: Post will be in the Pay Scale of Level-6 in the pay matrix [Rs 22,700 to Rs 58,500]
Age Limit: applicants should be between 18 to 27 years of age as on 01/01/21. Upper age limit is relaxed for SC/ST applicants of West Bengal Only by 05 years and OBC applicants by 03 years. The upper age limit is also relaxable for NVF and Home Guards Personnel (serving in West Bengal Police only) as per existing Government Rules. But age relaxation is NOT applicable for Civic Volunteers.

Educational Qualifications: Candidate should have passed Mahyamik Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent.
Mode of Recruitment:
The posts of Constable/ Lady Constable in West Bengal Police will be filled on the basis of qualifying the Preliminary Written Test which will act as screening examination, after which Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Final Written Examination and Interview to be conducted by the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board.
