The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has recently published a special advertisement for online recruitment applications for direct selection to the posts of Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer and Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner in the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation under the Ministry of Labour and Employment. The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 577 vacancies, with 418 for Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer and 159 for Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner.
Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer Vacancy Details – 418 Posts
The Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer post is a Group-“B,” non-ministerial position with a permanent job status. The pay scale for the post is Level-08 in the Pay Matrix as per the 7th CPC, and the age limit for the position is set at 30 years. Candidates applying for the post must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any subject from a recognized university or institute. However, the UPSC has the discretion to relax the educational qualifications for well-qualified candidates, and such relaxation will be recorded in writing.
Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner Vacancy Details – 159 Posts
The Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner post is also a Group-“B” position with a pay scale of Level-10 in the Pay Matrix as per the 7th CPC. The age limit for the position is 35 years. Candidates applying for the post must have a degree from a recognized university or equivalent. In addition, a diploma in Company Law/Labour Laws/Public Administration is desirable but not mandatory. Similar to the Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer post, the UPSC has the discretion to relax the educational qualifications for well-qualified candidates, and such relaxation will be recorded in writing.

Interested candidates can apply for the above posts by submitting their online application through the official UPSC website (https://www.upsconline.nic.in). The online application process commenced on 25-02-2023 (12:00 Noon) and will conclude on 17-03-2023 (6:00 PM).
Candidates are advised to read the instructions carefully before filling out the application form. They must also ensure that their application form is complete in all respects and that they have provided accurate information. Incomplete or inaccurate applications are liable to be rejected. Furthermore, candidates are advised to keep a printout of their application form for future reference.
Application Fee:
Candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty-five) only. However, female candidates, SC candidates, ST candidates, and Persons with Benchmark Disability Candidates are exempted from paying the fee. The payment can be made in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of any bank or by using Visa/Master/Rupay/Credit/Debit Card/UPI payment.
