Qualifications Required:

For the Post of Clerk:

  • Educational Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Arts or Science (or equivalent) from a recognized university.
    • Passed matriculation examination with Hindi as one of the subjects.
  • Written Exam Details:
    Subject Max Marks Qualifying Marks
    English Composition 50 33%
    General Knowledge 50 33%
    • Must achieve at least 40% aggregate marks in the written exam.
    • Computer proficiency is required (Word processing and spreadsheet operations).
    • Must pass a Computer Typing Test at a minimum speed of 30 w.p.m.

For the Post of Driver:

  • Educational Requirements:
    • Minimum of 8th-grade pass with Punjabi/Hindi as a subject.
  • Driving License:
    • Must possess a valid Light Transport Vehicle (LTV) license.
    • Should have at least 2 years of driving experience.
    • Must not have any conviction for negligent driving.

Age Limit:

  • Minimum: 18 years
  • Maximum: 42 years (as of 01.01.2024)
    • Age relaxation applies for reserved categories as per rules of the Hon’ble High Court of Punjab and Haryana.
