Selection Process

1. Online written examination (Computer Based Test)
2. Computer Proficiency Test (CPT), which is qualifying in nature and its marks are not counted in the final merit
3. Checking of original testimonials / interaction

The select list is prepared strictly on the basis of merit in the Computer Based Test. If candidates score equal marks, the elder candidate is placed higher, and then alphabetical order (A-Z) is followed.

Qualifying marks are 33% in each subject, and a candidate must obtain 40% marks in aggregate to qualify. There is negative marking of 1/4 mark for every wrong answer in multiple choice questions. The subjective English Composition is typed on the computer and is checked only for candidates who secure 33% or more marks in General Knowledge.

Computer Proficiency Test (CPT): Part-I is a Spreadsheet Test of 10 marks and 10 minutes, with 40% (4 marks) required to qualify. Part-II is a Computer Typing Test in English at a speed of 30 W.P.M., checked only for candidates who secure 4 or more marks in the Spreadsheet Test. Provisional answer keys will be uploaded on the official website, and an objection fee of Rs. 25/- per objection is charged.
