How Candidates Are Selected
All applications first go through a preliminary screening by a committee based on academics and relevant experience. After that:
- Scientist “B”: Computer Based Written Exam of 300 marks (100 MCQs, 3 hours, 1 mark negative marking) followed by an interview; final merit is 50% exam and 50% interview.
- Officer “B”: a 10 to 15 minute presentation followed by a personal interview; final selection is on interview performance.
- Technical Assistant “A”, Assistant “A” and Technician “A”: a 200-mark written exam plus a qualifying trade or skill test of 100 marks; final selection is on the written exam only.
- Driver “A”: a 100-mark written exam (Motor Vehicles Act and general questions) and a skill and driving test; final weightage is 40% exam and 60% driving test and repair work.
The written exam, tests and interviews are all held in Hyderabad.
