Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications:

• 10+2 pass from a recognised Board or Institution, AND
• ONE of the following:
  • Certificate in Motor Mechanic from a recognised Institution or Industrial Training Institute with 3 years practical experience in the trade in a reputed workshop, OR
  • 3-year Diploma in Automobile Engineering

Age Limit:

• Age Bracket: 18 to 25 years
• Cut-off Date: 27 October 2026 (closing date)
• Date of Birth Range: Between 28 October 2001 and 27 October 2008

Age Relaxation (beyond upper age limit):

• SC: 5 years
• OBC (NCL): 3 years
• Ex-Servicemen (General/Un-reserved): 3 years (after deduction of military service)
• Ex-Servicemen (OBC): 6 years (3+3)
• Ex-Serviceman (SC): 8 years (3+5)
• Government Servant: Up to 40 years (UR), 43 years (OBC), 45 years (SC/ST)

Physical Standards:

Height & Chest (Unexpanded/Expanded):

• General: 170 cm / 80-85 cm
• Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir, Ladakh: 165 cm / 78-83 cm
• North-Eastern States (Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura): 162.5 cm / 77-82 cm

Weight: Proportionate to height and age (as per Uniform guidelines)

Medical Standards:

• Minimum distant vision: 6/6 and 6/9 in both eyes (without correction)
• No color blindness (high color vision required)
• No knock knees, flat foot, varicose veins, or squint
• Must be in good mental and bodily health
• Binocular vision required

Tattoos (Permitted):

• Religious symbols/figures and names allowed (as per Indian Army rules)
• Location: Left forearm (inner aspect) or dorsum of hands only
• Size: Less than 1/4 of the specific body part

Selection Process:

Phase I:

1. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): (Qualifying nature)
   • 1.6 KM Race – to be completed within 7 minutes 30 seconds
   • Long Jump – 11 feet (3 chances)
   • High Jump – 3½ feet (3 chances)
   • NOTE: PET exempted for Ex-servicemen
2. Physical Standard Test (PST): Height, Chest, Weight measurements

Phase II:

3. Verification of Original Documents (Documentation)
4. Written Examination: 100 marks
   • General Knowledge: 10 questions (Bilingual)
   • Mathematics: 10 questions (Bilingual)
   • Hindi or English: 20 questions (candidates choose one language)
   • Trade Related Theory: 60 questions (Motor Mechanic – 12th standard level)
   • Duration: 2 hours
   • Pattern: Objective type MCQs (Computer Based Test or OMR)
   • Minimum Cut-off: 35% (Gen/EWS/Ex-servicemen), 33% (SC/OBC)

Phase III:

5. Practical (Skill) Test: 50 marks (Qualifying nature)
   • Vehicle Inspection: 10 marks
   • Identification of Faults: 10 marks
   • Rectification of Defects: 25 marks
   • Handling of Tools: 5 marks
   • Minimum Qualifying Marks: 50%
   • Shortlisted Candidates: 10 times of category-wise vacancies
6. Merit List Formation: Based on written examination marks (category-wise)

Phase IV:

7. Detailed Medical Examination (DME): Fitness assessment
   • Candidates declared FIT/UNFIT
   • Review Medical Examination (RME) allowed for UNFIT candidates
   • Decision of Review Medical Board is final

Important Information:
