• Physical / Medical Standards Test: screening for the later stages.
• Physical Efficiency Test (PET): 45 marks – running (3 km male, 2 km female), pull-ups, high jump and long jump.
• Written Examination: 40 marks, 80 MCQs, 2 hours, English only.
• Interview: 10 marks; NCC certificate marks up to 5 (‘C’ – 5, ‘B’ – 3, ‘A’ – 2).
• Candidates are shortlisted for the written test in the ratio 1:10 and for interview in the ratio 1:3.
