Organisation: Central Silk Board (CSB), Central Muga Eri Research & Training Institute (CSB-CMER&TI), Assam

Total Vacancies: 7 Sericulture Assistant (SA) positions on Contract Basis

Positions & Locations:

• Lahdoigarh, Jorhat (Main Institute), Assam: 5 positions
• Regional Sericulture Research Station, Boko, Kamrup, Assam: 1 position
• Research Extension Centre, Ahmedabad, Gujarat: 1 position

Job Details:

• Contract Period: 1 year (initially, may be extended)
• Pay: Rs. 21,000 per month consolidated + HRA
• Age Limit: Maximum 35 years (as on 26.10.2026)

Essential Qualifications:

Any ONE of the following (Pre-Cocoon Sector):

• 3 or 4-year Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Sericulture, OR
• 4-year Full-time Bachelor’s in Agriculture Sciences or Forestry, OR
• 3-year Full-time Bachelor’s in Zoology, Botany, Biology, or Biotechnology + PG Diploma in Sericulture, OR
• 3-year Full-time Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences or Biotechnology + 1 year sericultural project work experience

Note: Degrees must be from recognized universities/institutes

Desirable Qualifications:

• Work experience in silkworm rearing and grainage (pre-cocoon sector)
