Selection Process

Post	Selection Process
Junior Engineer (809/26)	Tier I: 2 hours, 200 MCQs, 200 marks (qualifying, used for shortlisting). Tier II: 2 hours 30 minutes, 150 MCQs, 200 marks; final merit is based on Tier II. Skill, trade or other tests may apply where required.
MTS (810/26)	One-tier exam: 2 hours, 200 MCQs, 200 marks covering general awareness, reasoning, arithmetic, Hindi and English. Final merit by marks, followed by e-dossier and document verification.

There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong 1-mark question and 0.50 marks for each wrong 2-mark question. Minimum qualifying marks are 40% for General/EWS, 35% for OBC (Delhi) and 30% for SC/ST/PwBD, with 5% relaxation for ESM (minimum 30%). Candidates must give at least one department preference at the e-dossier stage, and the preference is final once confirmed.

How to Apply for DSSSB Recruitment 2026

1. Visit the official OARS portal at dsssbonline.nic.in and complete the one-time registration using a valid email ID and mobile number.
2. Keep a scanned photo ID (JPG/JPEG, 15 to 60 KB) ready; this is not needed if Aadhaar is used as the ID.
3. From 12 November 2026, log in and apply separately for 809/26 (Junior Engineer) or 810/26 (MTS) as required.
4. Upload a recent colour photograph and signature as per the specifications in the notification.
5. Pay the ₹100 fee through SBI e-pay if you are not exempted, then submit the form and keep a printout.

Only one application per candidate is allowed, and no corrections are permitted after submission. Applications sent by post, hand or email are not accepted.
