Selection Process
- Journeyman: optional shortlisting on qualifying marks, then a written test of 100 MCQs in 2 hours (80 trade and 20 general). Qualifying marks are 50%, or 45% for SC/ST/OBC and 40% for PwBD. A qualifying Physical Efficiency Test applies to Driver Material Handling, Rigger and Crane Operator. Then a 50-mark practical test with the same qualifying marks, at 1:5 shortlisting. Final merit is on written test marks.
- Driver: shortlisting by experience, then the same written test (qualifying 40% overall, 35% OBC, 30% PwBD), followed by a practical test.
- Final selection needs a medical examination and a Police Clearance Certificate.
