Candidates holding a higher qualification than the one advertised are not eligible. Marks must be stated as a percentage; CGPA should be converted as per university norms.
Age Limit
Minimum age is 18 years. The maximum age and age relaxation follow the Apprentices Act, 1961, the Apprentice Rules, 1992 and the NATS 2.0/NAPS guidelines. The age calculation date is Not Mentioned in Official Notification. Reservation is applied as per the Apprentices Act and Rules, as amended, and PwBD candidates are eligible only for the trades designated under the Rules.

How Candidates Are Selected
Shortlisting is at the discretion of ITR, and meeting the minimum criteria does not guarantee selection. Shortlisted candidates may be called for a written test, a personal interview, or both. No TA/DA is paid for any stage. Credentials are verified before the contract is signed, and a medical fitness certificate is needed on joining.
Steps to Apply
- Register on the NATS portal at www.nats.education.gov.in, if not already registered.
- Download the application form (Annexure-A) from the DRDO website and fill it in by typing. Handwritten forms are not accepted, except for the signature.
- Affix a recent passport-size photograph and attach self-attested copies of the 10th, 12th, diploma and degree mark sheets/certificates, caste certificate and identity proof.
- Write “Application for Apprenticeship Training: Category … & Subject/Discipline …” on the envelope.
- Send it by Speed Post or Registered Post to The Director, Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur, Balasore, Odisha-756025, so that it reaches on or before 2 November 2026.
