Slots are available in trades such as Fitter, Electrician, Welder, Machinist, Turner, Carpenter, Painter, Mechanic (Diesel), Mason, Blacksmith, Cable Jointer, Wireman, Electronics Mechanic, Sheet Metal Worker, Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance, Computer Operator & Programming Assistant and Stenographer. The training period is 1 year for all trades.

Educational Qualification

Act Apprentice (all notified trades)	10th class examination or equivalent (10+2 system) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Board, AND National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT, or Provisional Certificate issued by NCVT / SCVT.	Engineering graduates and diploma holders are not eligible. Candidates already undergoing or who have undergone apprenticeship training should not apply.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 15 years completed
• Maximum Age: Should not have completed 24 years
• Age Calculation Date: 3 November 2026
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for Persons with Disability, and up to an additional 10 years for Ex-Servicemen (service rendered in Defence Forces plus 3 years, subject to minimum 6 months service at a stretch).

Selection Process

1. Merit list prepared on the simple average of percentage marks in matriculation (minimum 50% aggregate) and ITI marks in the applied trade.
2. Merit list is prepared cluster-wise, unit-wise, trade-wise and community-wise, equal to the number of slots. No centralized merit list is formed.
3. Document verification at the opted Division / Unit.
4. Medical fitness certificate as per the annexure to the notification, signed by a Government authorized doctor (Gazetted), not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon.

If two candidates have equal marks, the older candidate is preferred. Stipend: Rs. 9,600 per month for National or State Certificate holders, as per RBE No. 116/2025. No hostel accommodation is provided.
