Educational Qualification

The qualification must be attained by the last date of online application. Candidates with qualifications from outside Odisha must produce proof of equivalence and affiliation of the institution.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 42 years
• Age Calculation Date: 1 January 2026 (born not earlier than 1 January 1984 and not later than 1 January 2005)
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC, ST, SEBC, Women and Ex-Servicemen. 10 years for PwD candidates with permanent disability of 40% or more. PwD candidates belonging to SEBC/SC/ST get cumulative relaxation of 15 years. A candidate under more than one category gets only one, the most beneficial, relaxation.

Selection Process

Selection is based solely on a Written Test in OMR or CBT mode, as decided by the Board.

1. 100 multiple choice questions carrying a total of 150 marks, with a duration of two hours.
2. 1.5 marks for each correct answer and 0.5 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
3. Minimum qualifying marks: 40% for Unreserved category and 30% for SC/ST/SEBC and PwD categories.
4. Tie-break: higher aggregate marks in the Bachelor’s Degree, then the older candidate.
5. Final allocation is on merit-cum-preference, based on the order of preferences filled in the application form.
