Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 42 years
- Age Calculation Date: 1 January 2026 (born not earlier than 1 January 1984 and not later than 1 January 2005)
- Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC, ST, SEBC, Women and Ex-Servicemen. 10 years for PwD candidates with permanent disability of 40% or more. PwD candidates belonging to SEBC/SC/ST get cumulative relaxation of 15 years. A candidate under more than one category gets only one, the most beneficial, relaxation.

Selection Process
Selection is based solely on a Written Test in OMR or CBT mode, as decided by the Board.
- 100 multiple choice questions carrying a total of 150 marks, with a duration of two hours.
- 1.5 marks for each correct answer and 0.5 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
- Minimum qualifying marks: 40% for Unreserved category and 30% for SC/ST/SEBC and PwD categories.
- Tie-break: higher aggregate marks in the Bachelor’s Degree, then the older candidate.
- Final allocation is on merit-cum-preference, based on the order of preferences filled in the application form.
