Selection Process

  1. Objective Type Test (Multiple Choice Questions)
  2. Typing Speed Test on Computer (mandatory to qualify)
  3. Written Test (Descriptive) in English language

If a large number of candidates qualify in the Objective Type Test with 50 or more marks, candidates in the ratio of 1:10 against the tentative vacancies will be shortlisted for the Typing Speed Test and the Descriptive Test, based on the merit list. The descriptive answer sheets will be evaluated only for candidates who qualify the Typing Speed Test. Candidates in the ratio of 1:3 against the tentative vacancies, who qualify in all three tests, will be called for the interview.

There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer in the Objective Type Test. The Objective Type Test will be held in cities listed in Annexure-A of the notification, while the Typing Speed Test and Descriptive Test will be conducted in Delhi/NCR. An objection to the answer key costs Rs. 100/- per objection, refunded if the objection is found valid.

How to Apply for Supreme Court JCA Recruitment 2026

  1. Visit the official Supreme Court of India recruitment page at sci.gov.in and open the online application link.
  2. Read the advertisement carefully and check that you meet the qualification and age conditions as on 1 September 2026.
  3. Fill in the online application form with correct details. Name, parents’ names and date of birth must match the Class X certificate.
  4. Upload scanned copies of your recent photograph, signature and documents (Class X, Class XII and Graduation certificates, caste or community certificate for reserved categories, and disability certificate if applicable).
  5. Select your test cities in order of preference and pay the application fee online.
  6. Submit the form on or before 28 October 2026 (11:55 PM). The submitted application cannot be withdrawn or modified. Keep a printout and your application number for admit card download. Do not send the printout to the Registry.
