DCIL Educational Qualification

Trainee Marine Engineer	Four years degree in Marine Engineering from an IMU affiliated college or institute approved by DG Shipping, or recognised by the State/Central Government or AICTE. OR Graduate Marine Engineering from a recognised university after a four years Engineering degree.	Candidates who already hold COC as MEO Class IV, or are about to obtain it, are not eligible. Valid Indian CDC, Passport, INDOS and basic STCW 2010 certificates are required.
Trainee Electrical Officer	Four years degree in Electrical, Electronics, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication/Communication or Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering recognised by the State/Central Government or AICTE.	Four months Electro Technical Officer (ETO) course from a DG Shipping approved institute and basic STCW courses.
NCV (T)	Minimum SSC/10th pass from a recognised board and Pre-sea GP rating course, passed the Exit Examination approved by DG Shipping with minimum 60% aggregate marks.	Age should be less than 25 years as on date of joining on board.

Fleet Personnel Posts

The notification also invites Dredge Master, Chief Officer, 2nd Officer, 3rd Officer, Chief Engineer Officer, 2nd Engineer Officer, 4th Engineer Officer and Petty Officer (Dredging) on contract basis. They are selected on interview performance, with a minimum qualifying score of 50 marks out of 100. Their walk-in is on 5 November 2026 from 10:00 AM.

Selection Process

1. Trainee Marine Engineer and Trainee Electrical Officer: 80% weightage for marks in the prescribed qualification and 20% for the interview (total 100 marks).
2. Minimum cut-off for General/OBC: 50% in qualification and 50% in interview (40/80 and 10/20). For SC/ST: 45% in each (36/80 and 9/20).
3. NCV(T): 50% weightage for SSC/10th marks and 50% for the GP Rating Exit Examination marks.
4. Fleet personnel: interview only, minimum 50 marks out of 100.

3. Report at the walk-in venue on the date given for your post with original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies.
4. Venue for 5 and 6 November: Dredge House, H.B. Colony, Seethammadhara, Visakhapatnam – 530022. NCV(T) document verification is also held at Visakhapatnam, Kolkata, Chennai and Kochi centres as given in the notification.
