Educational Qualification and Experience

Research skills: research design, data collection and analysis, report writing and publication. Good command over spoken Hindi and spoken and written English. Knowledge of Marathi is an added advantage.
Senior Documentation and Communication Officer	M.Phil or Ph.D., or nearing completion of Ph.D., is preferred.	At least 3 years of relevant experience in criminal justice / social work with marginalised populations. Excellent writing skills in English; working knowledge of Hindi and Marathi. Good communication and team building skills; willingness to travel outside Mumbai when required.

Job Requirements

Senior Research Officer: work in teams and independently, travel within and between states, meet deadlines, documentation skills, knowledge of publication processes, expertise in qualitative and quantitative research software, field-based research and data collection, and engagement with stakeholders in the criminal justice system, government functionaries and civil society.

Senior Documentation and Communication Officer: documentation of ongoing project work, process and case documentation, timely reports to funding agencies, concept notes and proposals, social media content and platform management, Prayas newsletters, help with research study reports, and coordination of podcasts, short films and related media.
