In addition, a consolidated amount of Rs. 12,000 per year is paid towards insurance premium, attire allowance, stitching charges, footwear allowance and similar items. Gratuity is admissible as per the BEL Employees’ Gratuity Scheme. Relaxation for ex-servicemen will be as per Government guidelines.

Contract period: The contract is initially for three years from the date of joining and may be extended by up to one more year (maximum four years in total), depending on project progress and performance.

Educational Qualification

Project Engineer-I	Pass Class in BE / B.Tech in Computer Science or Electronics & Communication from an AICTE/UGC approved college/institute or a recognized university	Minimum 2 years of post-qualification industrial experience as on 01.10.2026 in at least one of four domains: Security and SOC operations, network operations, server and storage management, or DevOps and IAM. Relevant valid OEM or industry certifications (such as CCNA, CCNP, CEH, CHFI, CISSP, OSCP, CompTIA, RHCSA) are preferred.

Experience gained in banking and financial institutions, non-profit organizations and academic internships is not counted as experience.

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 32 years as on 01.10.2026 (for General and EWS candidates)
• Age Relaxation: 3 years for OBC (NCL), 5 years for SC/ST, and 10 years for PwBD candidates with at least 40% disability (in addition to OBC/SC/ST relaxation). Ex-servicemen get relaxation as per Government guidelines.

Selection Process

1. Written test for shortlisted candidates, held at Bengaluru and Delhi.
2. Interview for candidates who qualify in the written test, in the ratio of 1:5 in order of merit in each category.
3. Marks: 85% for the written test and 15% for the interview.
4. Minimum qualifying marks: 35% for General/OBC/EWS and 30% for SC/ST/PwBD, separately in the written test and the interview.

Candidates with valid certifications listed in the notification will be preferred. Call letters will be sent by email only, and shortlisted names will be published on the BEL website.
