Qualifications

Group “A” (10th Class Passed)

• Draftsman (Mechanical), Electrician, Fitter, Pipe Fitter, Structural Fitter
  • Passed SSC with General Science and Mathematics.
  • Minimum 50% marks for General / OBC / EWS / DIVYANG / AFC candidates.
  • Pass Class for SC/ST candidates.
  • Higher qualification candidates can also apply, but eligibility will be based on SSC marks.

Group “B” (I.T.I Passed)

• Fitter Structural (Ex. ITI Fitter), Draftsman (Mechanical), Electrician, ICTSM, Electronic Mechanic, RAC, Pipe Fitter, Welder, COPA, Carpenter
  • Passed relevant ITI course from a Government recognized institution.

Group “C” (8th Class Passed)

• Rigger, Welder (Gas & Electric)
  • Passed 8th class.

Detailed Job Description

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) invites applications from Indian Nationals for the selection of 518 Trade Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. The apprenticeship is available for various trades, grouped into three categories based on educational qualifications:

Group “A” (10th Class Passed)

• Draftsman (Mechanical): 21 seats
• Electrician: 32 seats
• Fitter: 53 seats
• Pipe Fitter: 55 seats
• Structural Fitter: 57 seats

Candidates must have passed SSC with General Science and Mathematics, securing a minimum of 50% marks for General, OBC, EWS, DIVYANG, and AFC candidates. SC/ST candidates need to have just passed the exam. Higher qualifications are acceptable, but eligibility will be based on SSC marks.

Group “B” (I.T.I Passed)

• Fitter Structural (Ex. ITI Fitter): 50 seats
• Draftsman (Mechanical): 15 seats
• Electrician: 25 seats
• ICTSM: 20 seats
• Electronic Mechanic: 30 seats
