Selection Process
- Competitive Examination (MCQ):
- Paper-I (Nursing Subject): 100 marks, 2 hours – Fundamental of Nursing (20), Medical Surgical Nursing (20), Midwifery and Paediatric Nursing (20), Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing (20), Community Health Nursing (20). Can be attempted in Gujarati or English.
- Paper-II (Gujarati Language): 100 marks, 2 hours – Language (30), Grammar (40), Literature (30). Only in Gujarati.
- Negative marking of 1/4 mark for every wrong answer.
- Minimum 40% marks required separately in Paper-I and Paper-II. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of total marks in both papers.
- Document Verification: About two times the number of candidates for each category will be called for verification of certificates on the basis of merit.
- Selection List / Waiting List: Prepared category-wise on the basis of merit.
- Recommendation for Appointment: The Board will recommend selected candidates to the concerned Government department for appointment.
Widow candidates and candidates who have represented at the specified sports levels will get 5% additional marks as per Government rules, subject to submission of valid proof.
