ICMR-NIRT is a permanent research institute under the Indian Council of Medical Research, Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The institute is actively involved in research related to tuberculosis.

- Technical Assistant: 60 posts
- Total vacancies across 16 disciplines like Microbiology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Computer Programming, etc.
- Laboratory Attendant-1: 13 posts

Location
The selected candidates will be posted at ICMR-NIRT, Chennai, or any other centers/units under ICMR.
Pay Scale
- Technical Assistant – Pay Level 6 as per 7th CPC (Rs. 35,400-1,12,400)
- Laboratory Attendant-1 – Pay Level 1 as per 7th CPC (Rs. 18,000-56,900)
Age Limit
- Technical Assistant – Not exceeding 30 years
- Laboratory Attendant-1 – Between 18-25 years
Relaxation in upper age limit for reserved categories as per govt norms.
Educational Qualifications and Experience
For Technical Assistant (60 posts):
- First class Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline such as Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biostatistics, Computer Programming, etc., based on the post applied.
- No prior experience is required.
For Laboratory Attendant-1 (13 posts):
- 10th pass with 50% aggregate marks
- Plus one year working experience in a government recognized/approved laboratory

- Rs. 300 for General/OBC/EWS category
- No fees for SC/ST/PWD/Women candidates
