Central Government employees with 3+ years of regular service get 5 years for Group A/B posts (2601–2603, 2605), and up to 40 years for Group C posts (2604, 2606), 45 years for SC/ST Group C employees.

Technical Assistant, Technician ‘B’	CBT (Part A 100 marks and trade-wise Part B 100 marks, 120 minutes) and trade-wise Skill Test on go/no-go basis

CBT centres are New Delhi, Chandigarh, Chennai, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Kolkata. Skill Test and Interview are held at SAS Nagar (Mohali) or Chandigarh.
