Project Title: Development of Technology for Non-flammable Hydrogen Gas and its Application in Lighter than Air (LTA) Vehicle (DRDO Sponsored Research Project)

Qualifications

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Essential Qualifications:

• B.E./B.Tech in First Division with NET/GATE qualification or other national level examination conducted by Central Govt. Institutions.
• OR M.E./M.Tech in First Division at both Graduate and Post Graduate levels.
• Specialization in:
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Chemical Science & Technology
  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• OR M.Sc./M.S. in:
  • Organic Chemistry
  • Physical Chemistry
  • Polymer
  • Industrial Chemistry
  • Equivalent degree in First Division with NET/GATE qualification or other national level examination conducted by Central Govt. Institutions.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Knowledge in organic synthesis or processes (for M.Sc. candidates).
• Proficiency in Combustion Science & Technology, Fire Safety and Engineering, and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
• Experience in applied research, ability to plan experiments, and competency in writing reports and articles.

Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

Essential Qualifications:

• Same as JRF qualifications.
• Minimum 02 years of research/teaching/industrial experience in the relevant fields.

Upper Age Limit:

• JRF: Not to exceed 28 years.
• SRF: Not to exceed 30 years.
• Age Relaxation:
  • 05 years for SC/ST, Women & PwBD candidates.
  • 03 years for OBC (NCL) candidates.

Salary

• Junior Research Fellow (JRF): ₹37,000/- per month (consolidated).
• Senior Research Fellow (SRF): ₹42,000/- per month (consolidated).

Tenure

The positions are purely temporary and are for a period of 06 months or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier.

Interview Details

• Shortlisted applicants will be called for an interview (in-person or via video conference).

• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Additional Information

• Recruited JRF/SRF candidates will be encouraged to register for Ph.D. at DIAT through the proper channel as per DIAT norms.
• Hostel accommodation may be provided, subject to availability, on a payment basis.
• Medical facilities limited to MI Room facilities will be extended to the incumbent.
• The offer of JRF/SRF does not confer any right for absorption in DIAT (DU), Pune.
• Selected candidates will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer letter.
