NHB reserves the right to draw waitlists and to cancel the recruitment process entirely or for any post at any stage. PwBD reservation is horizontal and within the overall vacancies for the post. Selection Process

1. Shortlisting: The Bank decides the shortlisting parameters. If many eligible applications are received, a preliminary screening followed by a Group Discussion may be held to shortlist candidates for the interview.
2. Interview: Candidates must secure the minimum marks in the interview. The merit list is prepared in descending order of interview scores, and selection is based on the position in the category-wise rank list for that post.
3. Document Verification: Original documents and self-attested photocopies are verified at the time of interview. Candidates not fulfilling the eligibility criteria will not be allowed to appear for the interview.

If candidates score equal marks at the cut-off point, they are ranked according to age in descending order. Appointment is subject to medical fitness, satisfactory police verification and referee reports, and verification of caste and disability certificates (for reserved categories). Candidates who have defaulted in loan or credit card repayment and have not regularized the dues until the offer of appointment are not eligible.

Contract, Probation & Deputation Details

• Probation (AGM and Manager): 1 year of active service from the date of joining, extendable at the discretion of the Bank.
• Contract Period (DGM – Company Secretary): 3 years. The contract can be terminated by either side with one month’s notice. The officer is entitled to 12 days of casual leave per calendar year and 30 days of sick leave on half pay.
• Deputation Tenure (GM IT and DGM HR): 3 years, subject to annual performance review. The officer can opt for the salary and benefits of the parent organization plus the applicable deputation allowance, or the pay and benefits of TEG Scale VII (GM) / TEG Scale VI (DGM) at NHB. Absorption in the Bank at the end of the tenure may be offered at the Bank’s discretion, subject to satisfactory performance and NOC of the parent organization.

1. Visit the official NHB website using the link given in the Important Links section below. Go to Opportunities, then Current Vacancies, then “Recruitment of Officers in Various Posts – 2026-2027/01”, and click on “Click here to Apply Online”.
2. Click on “Click here for New Registration” and enter your name, contact details and email ID. Note down the provisional registration number and password.
3. Upload your photograph (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm), signature, left thumb impression and handwritten declaration as per the specified size and format. Also upload the documents supporting your eligibility.
4. Fill in the remaining details, use “Save and Next” to verify, and preview the application before clicking “Complete Registration”.
5. Pay the application fee or intimation charges online, then submit the application.
6. Take a printout of the e-receipt and the online application form for future reference.

For Deputation posts (General Manager IT and Deputy General Manager HR):

1. Fill in the application form given as Annexure-I of the official notification.
2. Send it through proper channel by Speed Post / Registered Post, along with attested copies of ACRs / APARs for the last 3 years, NOC and Vigilance Clearance Certificate.
3. Address the envelope to the Deputy General Manager (HRMD), National Housing Bank, Head Office, Core 5A, India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi – 110003. Write “For the post of General Manager (Information Technology) on Deputation / Deputy General Manager (Human Resource) on deputation, as the case may be” on top of the envelope.
