HCL is offering 40 vacancies for Graduate Engineer Trainees in the following disciplines:
- Mining Engineering
- Geology
- Electrical Engineering

Qualifications and Experience
- Full-time Bachelor’s degree in the relevant engineering discipline for the respective post.
- For the Geology post, a post-graduation degree in Geology is required.
- 60% aggregate marks (55% for SC/ST) in the qualifying degree.
- Valid GATE score of the years 2021/2022/2023 in the same discipline as the qualifying degree.
Age Limit
The maximum age limit for applicants is 28 years as of 01/01/2024. Age relaxations are applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-servicemen as per Government rules.
Pay Scale
Selected Graduate Engineer Trainees will receive a competitive pay scale of Rs. 40,000-1,40,000 during the one-year training period. Upon successful completion, candidates will be absorbed as Assistant Managers at E-1 grade with the same pay scale.
Allowances and Benefits
In addition to the basic pay, GETs will be entitled to Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) or company accommodation, perks & allowances, gratuity, and medical benefits as per company policy.
Service Agreement
Selected candidates are required to sign a Service Agreement bond of Rs. 3 lakhs, committing to serve the company for a minimum period of 3 years post-joining.
Selection Process
The selection process is based on the GATE score (70% weightage) and a Personal Interview (30% weightage).

- SC/ST/PWD candidates: Exempted from the application fee.
